Freedom of choice and flexibility are hallmarks of the health care at The Hamilton. It is also the site of two well-recognized medical facilities, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and the Stanford University Medical Center, both located only a short distance from The Hamilton. Experience has shown that most residents have established relationships with physicians, which they wish to continue, but may be understandably concerned about availability of appropriate facilities for convalescent or long-term care.

In that regard, a special attraction of The Hamilton is that each unit has in effect an additional bedroom and bath so that residents can, when needed, utilize nursing aides or other attendants and thus be cared for in their own condominium. Room service, with the same menu as in the dining room, is available. The desirability of this arrangement, clearly superior to nursing homes, is apparent, and has already been well substantiated at The Hamilton.
